Default New 'emotion' /pet

Seeing it is monday again, and i am ready to go help out Nick for my weeks supply of pressies (1 a day keeps your badmood away) ... love this feature!

But ehrm yes, so, everytime i get to Nickolas and the Prof. i click both and well roleplay a bit, i bow 'hello' to Nick (seeing a wave looks more like a goodbye) and ... then i click the Prof and see his text and i type /pet, only to find out there isnt a /pet emote, to give him one

So i would love to see a /pet emote so i can /pet the Prof. please, tnx allot !!

1. To the Mod's, this is not a joke but a serious request

2. To all the people i allready know are going to troll this request saying nothing will get added and other things are more important and how im an idiot and what not ... /pet

At first I thought this was for petting the bunny rabbits or something in a town, which is idiotic, just like this idea.

when i read this, i thought it was for towns and shit, so you could flash your pet out... like you'd be standing there, type /pet, and a rainbow pheonix wwould come squaking out of nowhere.

and to all my excitement, i found out it was nothing like that... i am now sad

Now that you mention it, not many emotes at all seem important to me.

/Doh!

I think this idea is a bit superfluous, but I think that was the intention. :P

I like it. I've always felt like there was a roleplaying aspect to Nick that fit well. I know I always take the time to read his messages from him instead of reading them on the wiki when I look at the map. I've even done that a few times where I wave and bow to him when I first walk up.

I doubt that they would add an emote at this point, but it would certainly be cute. If nothing else, maybe when you talk to the professor and he nuzzles your hand, you should have a dialogue option to actually pet him.

Anet have said in the past that emotes involving physical contact with another object, i.e, hug, kiss, etc. was difficult to do because of collision detection and whatnot. I don't see this happening.

Also, spending time on an emote just to virtually pet a virtual yak is not what I consider a high priority.

Hmmm The sollution of Operative14 would work also i guess , just a dialoge option to give him a pet, not as ellaborate as an emote but certainly a sollution to be able to actually give him a /pet, seeing he asks for one ... good idea Operative !

I kind of like this suggestion. It would be nice for my ranger to give her pet a little scratch behind the ears as a way of saying thanks for taking agro off me or the like!

/pet To pet the Yak? Why not, if you are in to role playing? It's part of the dialogue, isn't it?

Now, look at the other side of /pet. Would the /pet also involve little kiddies running up to female characters to "pet" them also? It's bad enough that they strip down and do their stupid Warrior dance on/at/near them...

I'm not even sure they could code it to work on some things (animals) and not others (characters).

So you're serious about roleplaying to an NPC then?

Are you on medication?

Also, /notsigned
